Influence of variations Si/Al ratio and crystal size of ZSM-5 in oxidative dehydrogenation of propane
Main Article Content
The oxidative dehydrogenation of propane (ODHP) is an important reaction in the chemical industry for the production of propylene. In this paper, morphology of ZSM-5 has been modified varying the crystallization conditions and Si/Al ratio in the synthesis gel. Five materials were obtained to improve the catalytic activity in the reaction ODHP. Synthesized materials were characterized by X-ray diffraction, thermal and chemical analysis, scanning electron microscopy and BET area. Catalytic studies showed better activity at low temperatures, for materials with higher content of Al in the structure and smaller crystal size, reaching maximum values of conversion and selectivity of 16% and 30% respectively.
