Ingeniería y Competitividad Journal celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2022. It began its activities
activities in 1997 and continues its vital mission of disseminatng research results in the area of engineering and the engineering sciences.
The work done during almost 9 years as
Editor-in-Chief of the journal has allowed me to gain knowledge and experience in the dynamics of the scientific production process. I have seen the evolution of the journal
as well as improvements in the quality and quantity of the articles; its metrics both internal and external; and the
characteristics of the evaluators and the experiences of the teams.
