This methodology obtain the hygroscopic potential, from the balance between the relative humidity of the atmosphere and the content of humidity of granular material. Cameras sealed were used to obtain the balance humidity taken place by sulphuric acid diluted at the 3.3 in volume that which allows to reach a relative humidity of 98%. Different substrates were used establishing relationships among the relative humidity, content of water in the soil and hygroscopic potential. The obtained results show that the humidity balance of the substrates is reached approximately in the same time and this fact allowed to establish appropriate lineal correlations among, content of water in the floor and potential. The coefficient of lineal regression for the obtained potential values of the different soils and salts was 0.97.
