Prioritization of areas for high volume loading and unloading. Case: Santiago de Cali

The socio-economic development of the Valle del Cauca region has been mainly determined by coffee, sugar and, in addition, agricultural production of inputs for agro-industry. Additionally, the city of Cali has different areas with commercial, residential, academic and health activities, some clustered and others mixed together. Based on the territorial análisis, the concept of urban logistics and with help of the combination of Multicriteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) y Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) methodology, it is intended to provide a ranking of proposals on areas in the city with current and future possibilities to be considered as a high volume loading and unloading areas.
