The desing curves and evaluation of the wire meander antenna in four different topologies with the aim to be designed for miniaturization applications is presented. A variety of parametric curves were raised with NEC (Numerical Electromagnetic Code), in order to find the appropriate values for the antenna operation. The design curves were validated through the construction and characterization of four different prototypes, designed for miniaturization percentage of fifty percent (50%) compared with a dipole ( lambda/2). The input impedance, the radiation pattern and maximum gain of the antenna were evaluated experimentally in a common operating point to a fixed frequency of VHF.
