System Dynamics, the modeling and simulation approach to the study of organizational problems, has experienced a slower diffusion process than has been experienced by other management techniques. This could be a sign of a limited exploitation of its stock of practical knowledge. This constraint could be overcome by synthesizing and generalizing the stock of many real-world applications of the System Dynamics, that is, by reusing System Dynamics models. This paper identifies current achievements in model reuse in System Dynamics, and from this analysis, a not yet developed area in model reuse is outlined so new access opportunities to System Dynamics could be opened.
